It’s no secret. The KC Royals have been off to a terrible start. There is a good chance we might not be watching much meaningful baseball this summer. But, the Royals do have a select few that could represent the organization in Miami at this year’s all star game.

We all remember the 2015 All Star Game voting. At one point, the KC Royals had Salvador Perez, Eric Hosmer, Omar Infante, Alcides Escobar, Mike Moustakas, Lorenzo Cain, and Alex Gordon leading at their respective positions. One obvious one that shouldn’t have been there was second baseman Omar Infante.

More from Kings of Kauffman

In the first half of 2015, Infante was ranked 155th of 162 qualified hitters. He clearly shouldn’t have even been in the discussion, which dubbed the sarcastic hashtag, #VoteOmar. But who cares if he shouldn’t have gotten the votes! We sure don’t. So let’s piss off people again?

Now that Omar Infante isn’t on the KC Royals anymore, we can’t #VoteOmar anymore. This caused

our friends at Royals Review to start a #VoteWhit campaign.

Kings of Kauffman is now jumping on the #VoteWhit bandwagon and so should you.

And it’s not like Whit is as bad as Omar was. He was after all the final straw that got Omar DFA’d.

Whit vs. Omar comparison since beginning of 2016:

  • AVG- Whit
  • OBP- Whit
  • SLG- Whit
  • WAR- Whit
  • BSR- Whit
