KC Royals Minors Recap: Danny Duffy Makes Rehab Start
Omaha lost their series to Colorado Springs, by losing the finale, 6-3. The Sky Sox scored five runs in the top of the seventh.
Danny Duffy made his first rehab start for the Storm Chasers and allowed one run on two hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out four and picked a runner off first base. In his final rehab appearance, catcher Erik Kratz went 1-for-4.
It was a rough outing for Brandon Finnegan, who allowed five runs on four hits and two walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out four and was ejected from the game in the 7th inning, along with manager Brian Poldberg, after a bases clearing triple.
On offense for the Storm Chasers, they collected eight hits. Cheslor Cuthbert went 2-for-4
NW Arkansas lost both games of their doubleheader to Tulsa. They have now lost four in a row and cling to a 1.5 game lead in the Texas League North Division.

The Naturals lost the first game,
7-0. They were only losing 2-0 before Tulsa scored five runs in the top of the seventh (four runs came on a two out grand slam).
NWA collected just five hits, two from catcher Parker Morin. He tripled, while Bubba Starling and Mike Bianucci each doubled.
J.C. Sulbaran took the loss, as he allowed two runs (no earned) on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out five.
The Naturals lost the second game by a 2-0 score. They collected just five hits. Hunter Dozier went 2-for-3 with a double.
Matt Murray was the hard luck loser, as he allowed both runs on six hits over five innings. He struck out four. Sam Selman followed with two scoreless innings of relief. He struck out two.
Wilmington lost both games of their doubleheader in Winston-Salem. Frederick split their doubleheader and is now five games back.
The Blue Rocks lost the first game, 4-3. It came after they had a 3-0 lead after three innings.
The Dash tied the game in the fifth with a two-run triple and took the lead on a sac fly. Yender Caramo took the loss, as he allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. Ashton Goudeau allowed the sac fly over 1.2 innings of relief.
On offense, the Blue Rocks collected six hits, two each by Carlos Garcia and Mauricio Ramos (who doubled twice and drove in two runs).
The Blue Rocks lost the second game by a 2-1 score. They collected just five hits, all singles and struck out 11 times.
Luis Rico was the hard luck loser, as he allowed two runs on six hits and four walks in the complete game loss.
Lexington began their homestand with a loss to Lakewood by a 3-2 score. All of the runs scored came via home runs.
Zach Lovvorn, who earlier today was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star team, took the loss. He allowed one run on five hits over five innings. He struck out two. Pedro Fernandez, who was also named to the All-Star team, allowed a two-run homer in the sixth (4IP, 3H, 2R, BB, K).
Chase Vallot put the Legends on the board in the bottom of the eighth with a solo home run, his third of the season (video below via the Legends). Ryan O’Hearn hit a two out, solo homer in the bottom of the ninth (his league-leading 13th of the season). O’Hearn and outfielders Elier Hernandez and Alfredo Escalera-Maldonado were also named to the SAL All-Star team.
