KC Royals Minors Recap: Storm Chasers Blow Out Sky Sox
It was a quiet night in the KC Royals farm system, as only Triple-A Omaha was in action.
The Storm Chasers scored seven runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning en route to their 14-2 victory over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
The 2nd inning started with a Casey Kotchman single (one of his two singles in the inning). Dusty Coleman got the scoring started with a one out, two-run double (he would homer in the seventh). Cheslor Cuthbert capped the scoring with a three-run home run.

In the inning,
Reymond Fuenteswas pinch-run for after beating out a sac bunt.
Brett Eibnerwas his replacement, and he went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Leadoff hitter Whit Merrifield went 3-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored. Paulo Orlando also had three hits (including a double). Moises Sierra went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Orlando Calixte went 2-for-4, including a solo homer in the eighth.
All of that offense made a winner of Yohan Pino, who allowed four hits and walked two over six scoreless innings.
The NW Arkansas Naturals begin a stretch of 22 games in 20 days on Tuesday night, as they play a doubleheader against the Tulsa Drillers. However, six of those games come after the first half ends.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks had their series opener in Winston-Salem against the Dash rained out. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday night.
Lexington begins a seven-game homestand on Tuesday night as they face off against the Lakewood Blue Claws.
