Mr. Denton has lived in Kansas City for most of his life. He likes short walks in nasty weather, knuckleballers and those who rabble-rouse for good causes. His love of baseball can be traced to trips to The K with his father in the mid-to-late 70s. An earliest baseball memory is from 1975, when Gaylord Perry threw him a ball before a game and a man intercepted it. Everyone began yelling at the bully, including Perry, who told him to give the kid the ball. On the hierarchical tree of life, Mr. Denton's passion for baseball falls just under his love of disc golf and his love for his wife and child. (The order shifts some, but most days, neither baseball nor frolf are first.)
