The last time the Royals faced off against The Padres they beat us 13-5. Since then the Padres have gone 2-2. The Padres have added a few of their minor leaguers to their Spring Training roster since the two teams have last met.
Luis Perdomo will get his first start of the Spring as he looks to improve on last season. He put up a 4.67 ERA in 29 starts last season. Perdomo does well when he gets ahead in the count.
Keys to Success
Get ahead in the count. The Royals will need to have the most success against Perdomo in those first two innings. The bats will need to be alive early. The younger players need to keep showing the organization what they can do to have a shot at the 25-man-roster.
