The KC Royals have optioned OF/DH Jorge Soler to AAA Omaha.

Soler has had a slow start to 2017.  An oblique injury kept him sidelined throughout April. So far in 55 plate appearances Soler has slashed .164/.292/.273. He also has 1 HR and 3 RBI.

OF Billy Burns was recalled and will provide a base running option off the bench as the KC Royals head to National League stadiums next week.

For Soler this should provide regular playing time.  Due to the emergence of another Jorge (Bonifacio), Soler had become the odd-man out in Kansas City.

Soler possess some of the biggest raw power in baseball.  Hopefully consistent ABs will get the 25 year old on track.
