After a tough 4-2 loss against the Evil Empire, the KC Royals will look to get the series back on the right track Tuesday night. They will have their ace leading them on the bump.

Here is what to watch for during the KC Royals game.

Danny Duffy Success

Last Thursday against the New York Yankees, Danny Duffy came to play. Duffy had Yankee hitters flustered, mixing his great fastball and changeup.

More from Kings of Kauffman

This led to seven scoreless innings with ten strikeouts and no walks. One of Duffy’s best starts of the year.

He’ll look to do the same thing tonight. But he isn’t in Kauffman anymore. He’ll have to deal with the tough dimensions of Yankee Stadium.

Duffy has pitched two scoreless innings of relief in his career at Yankee Stadium

Jordan Montgomery Struggles

Last Thursday, Jordan Montgomery had the exact opposite of a start that Danny Duffy had. He struggled with baserunners throughout much of the game, only lasting five innings. In those innings, he surrendered four hits, five runs, and three walks.

The KC Royals, a team that struggles with lefties, were all over Montgomery. He couldn’t really establish any of the pitches in his arsenal. Let’s hope the KC Royals can put out the same performance tonight.

Moose Homer?

My pick for a home run tonight is Mike Moustakas. I still like him with that short porch in right field of Yankee Stadium.

Put that along with that laser shot he hit into the right field corner for a three run bomb on Thursday against Jordan Montgomery. I like that chances that Moose parks one tonight.
