KC Royals Idaho Falls Lose Final Game to Missoula

The KC Royals team entry in the Pioneer League lost the final game Wednesday night 8 to 1.  Missoula is the Pioneer League Champion.

The Chukars had only seven hits.  Only Brandon Dulin, DH, had 2 hits.  He had the sole RBI.

Bryan Brickhouse took the loss.  His totals were 3 runs on 5 hits over 3.2 IP.

Two hitters of note.  Amalani Fukofuka,CF, finished the year hitting .339 with an OBP of .401.  The RBI beast was Joshua Banuelos, first base, who finished with 62 RBIs in 67 games.  His average for the year was .357.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

The Wilmington Blue Rocks lost their third game in a row, to Myrtle Beach 3-2. Wilmington got one run in the top of the ninth, but the Pelicans won the game in the bottom of the frame with a single tally.  The victory gave Myrtle Beach the Carolina League Championship.

The Blue Rocks’ Carlos Garcia was 2 for 4 with a double.  Mauricio Ramos was one for three with RBI.  Cory Galagher was 2 for 4.  The Blue Rocks had 7 hits.

Alec Mills had a no decision giving up 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 IP.  Mills and Ramos are players of the year for Wilmington.

Northwest Arkansas Naturals

Northwest Arkansas also lost two in a row to Midland 8-6.  NWA had 6 runs despite tallying only six hits.  They got two in the ninth to fall two runs short.  Jorge Bonifacio was 2 for 4, with 3 RBIs. Ramon Torres also had two hits.

Paul Clemens lasted only 2.2 IP giving up 3 runs on 4 hits.  He took the loss.

Game three will be at NWA on Friday (best of five).  Northwest Arkansas faces elimination.
