KC Royals Week in Review Podcast: Episode One

Last week was an interesting one for the KC Royals. While the Royals managed to go 5-2 last week, there were still moments of concern. The bullpen, which had been such a strong point, had their struggles. Wade Davis proved to be mortal, and Greg Holland imploded. Fortunately, that was just one game, and the bullpen has been back to form lately.

Yet, this may still be a concern. Holland has not exactly been the shutdown closer that we had come to expect over the past few seasons, and has dealt with a variety of minor injuries this season. It may be fair to wonder if he is truly healthy, or if we will come to learn that he has been battling through some sort of ailment through the season.

Even with these concerns, it was still a successful week. The Royals essentially have a stranglehold on the American League Central, and may be able to use September to rest their regulars, potentially getting Holland and others back to form by allowing them a few days off.

And so, as we bask in the delight of a successful week, and the KC Royals thrilling 13 inning victory over the Cincinnati Reds last night, let us review the week that was. As such, let us introduce our latest podcast, KoK Talks, hosted by our own Jon Lerner. We will continue to podcast throughout the season, and, should the Royals make the postseason, on through October.

We hope you enjoy the inaugural effort, and feel free to leave any feedback in the comments below! Thanks for giving us a listen.
