The Blue Rocks trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh and had collected just one hit to that point. The 7th inning started with a leadoff walk. Robert Pehl singled to chase the Mudcats starter (one of his two hits). After a sac bunt tied the game, Cam Gallagher hit his first home run of the season, a two-run shot to give the Blue Rocks the lead (he had the team’s first hit). After Dominique Taylor walked and stole second base, he scored on Santiago Nessy‘s RBI single, his first with the team.

Ashton Goudeau earned his first High-A victory in relief of Cody Reed (5IP, 4H, R, HR, 2BB, 2K). Goudeau allowed a hit and walked one over three scoreless innings. He struck out three. Robinson Yambati struck out two in a scoreless ninth.

Lexington lost to Kannapolis in walk off fashion, 6-5. It came after the Legends tied the game in the top of the ninth on Chase Vallot‘s two out solo homer.

Emilio Ogando took the loss in relief. He allowed the one run on four hits and two walks over 3.1 innings. Foster Griffin got the start and allowed five runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over five innings. The Legends committed three errors.
