Lexington Legends Searching for Musicians

Are you a musician living in the Lexington, Kentucky area? If so, the Lexington Legends could be interested in procuring your services for a game.

Right now, the Legends are in need to musicians, whether or not they are singers or play an instrument, to perform the National Anthem before each home game. With that in mind, the Legends will be holding tryouts, American Idol style, at the Fayette Mall on the 21st and 22nd of February. Hopefully, they do not locate William Hung. Although, it would be amazing if this band appeared (do not watch the video if you are epileptic).

Even if you are not exactly confident in your ability to perform the anthem for the Lexington Legends, it is certainly worth taking a chance. Who knows where it could end up? At the worst, you get to perform in front of a few people and get passed over. At best, you play the National Anthem in front of a Legends home crowd, possibly get to meet a few of the players and get to see a ball game. What is the worst that could happen?

If you want to play music and dream of doing so before a large audience, heading down to the Fayette mall in a month could be the first step. If nothing else, it would be a fun story to tell others as you get older. “Did I tell you about that time I performed the Natioanl Anthem before a Legends game?”
