Tomorrow, the Kansas City Royals will be playing in the World Series. Games One and Two, as well as Six and Seven, if needed, will be at Kauffman Stadium. For the first time in 29 years, the Royals are not only in the playoffs, but they have literally run rampant, sweeping their way through the playoffs.

Since falling behind the Oakland A’s and trailing 7-3 heading into the eighth inning of the Wild Card game, everything has seemingly come up Royals. The Royals have been able to win in virtually every way imaginable, from their four extra innings victories to their speed and defense to their surprising power surge. The Royals game plan heading into the season has worked to perfection thus far.

Now, the only thing standing between the Royals and a World Series championship is the San Francisco Giants. The Giants also came through the Wild Card game, only as the fifth seed. A Cinderella story in their own right, the Giants would not have even been in the playoffs if not for the expanded postseason. As such, the Royals must contend with one of the best starters in the game in Madison Bumgarner and the potent bats of Buster Posey and Hunter Pence. Hopefully, the pitching staff will be up to the challenge.

What will the Royals need to do in order to continue their run and take home their second World Series title? Here is a look at a few keys to the series for the Kansas City Royals.
