NW Arkansas lost their second straight game in Corpus Christi on Wednesday night by a 4-2 score.
The Hooks scored three runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to take the lead on a three-run homerun off Naturals closer Zach Jackson, who entered with two men on base and one out. That negated the solid start by Brooks Pounders, who allowed one run on just three hits (including a solo homer) and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.
The Naturals collected just four hits, including Orlando Calixte‘s eighth homerun of the season.

It all started with JC Sulbaran, who lasted just 3.1 innings. He walked four, allowed three hits and two runs, and threw a wild pitch (catcher Parker Morin also had his 14th passed ball). Cody Fassold was next and he walked two over 2.2 innings. He allowed an inherited runner to score (though none of his own) and also threw a wild pitch.
Cory Hall walked three and allowed a hit while recording just one out. He allowed three runs. Daniel Hernandez (back after a July 28th concussion) allowed an inherited runner to score, but got the final two outs in the 7th inning without walking a batter. Andrew Triggs pitched the final inning and allowed a run on one hit and a walk.
On offense for the Blue Rocks, Daniel Mateo and Yem Prades (the 6-7 hitters) went 4-for-8 with a double and an RBI each.
