• RHP-Ian Kennedy (Yankees) leads the league in IP (15.1) and SO (17) but the best starter in the AFL has been LHP-Donald Veal (Pirates).  In 4 starts, Veal has thrown 12.2 IP with a 0.71 ERA and 0.71 WHIP.  He has allowed 7 H and 2 BB while striking out 12.
• RHP-Scott Mathieson (Phillies), RHP-Josh Wilkie (Nationals), RHP-Josh Judy (Indians), and RHP-Scott Moviel (Mets) are tied for the AFL lead in ERA.  All four have pitched at least 7.0 innings and all four still have a sparkling 0.00 ERA.
