Comments on Pitching Match-ups – The Royals will be at a park that yields a lot of runs or maybe that’s how it feels when KC visits. Ventura opens this series against Jimenez who the team is familiar with his time last season in Cleveland. Game two has Guthrie facing another one of his former teams matching up versus Chen, who has past success against the boys in blue. Sunday “Big Game” James is on the bump versus Gonzalez to conclude this trip.

2013 Meetings:
A season ago KC posted a winning record against the O’s beating the in four of seven meetings during the 2013 campaign. However, they went just 1-2 in the inner harbor of Baltimore against the Orioles and have struggled at this beautiful stadium was built.

Franchise History:
All-time Baltimore leads this series between them and Kansas City 257-198 with a record of 88-138 in the “Charm City”. As mentioned the numbers aren’t much better at Orioles Park at Camden Yards sporting a record of 34-58 versus the O’s. The Orioles are celebrating their 60th anniversary this season.

TV/Radio Coverage:
Fans can tune into FOX Sports Kansas City for all three games with Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler on TV. Ryan Lefebvre and Steve Stewart will be on the Royals Radio Network (610 Sports Radio in KC) describing everything from Camden Yards.
