The Royals were busy this week, making a trade to get Ervin Santana and shuffling players to get the roster down to 40. We discussed the implications of the Santana trade, what it signifies for the rest of the offseason, and what kinds of players might be in competition for the starting rotation this year.

We also looked at other moves in the league, including the Mike Aviles trade and lamented the slight return the Royals got for him in 2011, as well as the craziness of the Dan Haren trade rumors and its coverage on Twitter.

Finally, we finished up talking about some listener comments.
