In just a few hours, Zack Greinke should be officially named the winner of the 2009 AL Cy Young Award.  I am 95% sure he is going to win and 80% sure he is going to win in a landslide.  The top three, in my book, should go 1. Zack Greinke, 2.  Felix Hernandez, 3. Roy Halladay.  I’m sure the voters will find a way to force C.C. Sabathia into the top 3, but he doesn’t belong.  Lester (138) and Verlander (133) both had a higher ERA+ than Sabathia.  In fact, C.C. was tied for 6th in ERA+ along with Edwin Jackson and Kevin Millwood at 127.
