Is Johnny Cueto a polarizing guy with KC Royals fans? Bigtime!

Here are five poll questions for KC Royals fans after Monday night’s Game 3 debacle in Toronto. There are no right answers, I just want to know what Kings of Kauffman readers think after the Kansas City Royals 11-8 loss in Game 3 of the ALCS.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Not pitch Johnny Cueto at all? Not a relevant question after his performance in Game 5 against Houston.

Johnny Cueto sure looked good at first on Monday night. He quickly looked bad. He gave up 8 runs and the KC Royals found themselves down 9-2 in the fourth inning.

In the end, the Kansas City Royals surrendered 11 runs. Relievers Kris Medlen was charged with two, and Franklin Morales two. Cueto gave up the other eight scores.

When you score eight (four runs in the 9th for the millions who tuned out justifiably before that inning), the question is whether Johnny Cueto should have been pulled earlier or not.  Maybe much earlier.

Poll question 4:

After the game, according to Kansas City Star reporter Andy McCullough, Cueto said the mound was too high and the mounds in the bullpen were too low. About a month ago, Cueto wanted catcher Sal Perez to lower his target.

Poll question 5:

What do you make of the 9th inning for the KC Royals? A Lorenzo Cain sacrifice fly and a Kendrys Morales home run in the 9th closed the deficit from 11-4 to 11-8.
