When the Royals were involved in a few trade rumors, now and again, Jason Adam would come up as a possible name in a deal. The former fifth round pick had a decent showing in A ball last season and projects as a future starter, so it’s no surprise that teams have an interest.

Adam spoke with Troy Olsen of the Royalman Report about the rumors, noting that he’d prefer to stay with his hometown team, but he understands the nature of the business. An active user on Twitter (@Jason_Adam9), he did his own research after hearing rumors, though obviously, the Royals haven’t traded him.

Other topics of discussion in the interview included Adam’s desire to start rather than relieve, working through the season, Bubba Starling and the power of Twitter as a team-builder.

Twitter is also a fine tool for starting discussion and finding like-minded individuals. In the case of the Royals (and watching them), Twitter turns into a cross-country sports bar.

I wanted to extend an invitation to follow all of us on Kings of Kauffman (Ethan Evans hasn’t joined the revolution – yet) on Twitter by clicking the following links:

By @FakeNedYost (A.K.A. Chris Kamler)

Clearly, there had been a mistake made.

Last week, I got a call from the Kansas City Royals requesting my presence (actually, my faux personality, @fakenedyost had) at the first “Blog Your Way To The K” Night at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals had done something similar during the Winter Fan Fest and were represented by such esteemed bloggers as @KCYeti and Nick Scott at Royals Authority. These are intelligent Royals bloggers who bring much to the table. Fake Ned’s claim to fame is that he writes a lot of jokes about how slow Billy Butler is and how Ron Gardenhire smells like old potatoes. Real high-brow stuff.
