			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In light of the recent rumors, trades and other commentary going on right now involving the Royals and their prospects, I didn&#8217;t want the other moves that go on to go unnoticed.</p>
<p>After all, if you weren&#8217;t paying attention this time last year, you&#8217;d have ignored the signing of <strong><a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/betemwi01.shtml?utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_campaign=Linker">Wilson  Betemit</a></strong> to a minor league contract.  A year later, he&#8217;s a candidate for arbitration and may start the 2011 season as the Royals third baseman.  Is there another rags to (relative) riches story in store for someone this year?<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s finally official, as <strong><a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;id=mousta001mik">Mike  Moustakas</a></strong> has been promoted to Omaha in Triple A.  Moose&#8217;s promotion has been a topic of speculation all season, as he&#8217;s been a hitting machine since joining Northwest Arkansas halfway through April after opening the season with an oblique strain.</p>
<p>Moustakas hit .347/.413/.687/1.100 with 21 homeruns and 76 RBI in his first 298 plate appearances in Double A.  So far, he&#8217;s been promoted between seasons and not in the middle of the season, so it will be interesting to see how he adjusts to a higher level of competition.<br />
