The KC Royals won 9-4 Wednesday night versus Cleveland. The Royals are so much better it isn’t even funny.

Like Chicago.

The Kansas City Royals beat Cleveland Tuesday night with their second string. They did it again on Wednesday against Indians ace Corey Kluber.

It’s baffling how no one seems to be able to figure out IF they are any good. WHY they are any good. And WHEN they started being good. So the mysterious KC Royals get underrated. By everyone.

Let’s start with the American league. This is the best league by far and severely underrated like the Kansas City Royals. Why does this lessor league win the All-Star game every year? That’s because the AL is the better league. Watch the All-Star game this year.

More from KC Royals News

The KC Royals are the best team in the AL and by quite a bit.  They could play any team in the league with nine players on the bench. They beat Cleveland, a #1 team, with a group of misfits with names like Bert Cuthbert, Whit Merrifield, Dillon Gee, Joakim Soria, Jarrod Dyson, Paulo Orlando, and Cris Young.  There isn’t a team in either league that can touch this team at 75%.

Holland – out.

Moose – out.

Gordon – out.

Eibner – out.

In a game with Duffy, Ventura, EZ Edinson Volquez or Kennedy starting and with Whitfield, Cheslor Cuthbert, Reymond Fuentes, Eric Hosmer, Lorenzo Cain, Salvador Perez, Alcided Escobar, Morales/Eibner and Dyson/Orlando. And with Wade Davis, Kelvin Herrera, Joakim Soria and Luke Hochevar. It’s still an absolute nightmare for MLB teams.

They have one of the most loyal coaches in Ned Yost and he isn’t the quickest to make any changes. That has served him well and I salute him for it.

Like Merrifield. He inserted himself into the lead-off role. The fans in KC had him at lead-off about one week before Ned acquiesced. Ned has been equally hard-headed about getting Reymond Fuentes into the starting line-up.

The fans are demanding it with Fuentes batting .400 over the last week. He should have been inserted into the starting line-up day one. When Gordon was injured, Fuentes should have played everyday after that. The KC Royals would have won many more games had that been the case. Ned is forced to play him tonight so it’s going to be a sweet night at the K for the local fans.

I would have been totally surprised if the Tribe folks got out of KC with a win Wednesday night.

The next sound you hear will be from some famous national writer telling you why the Kansas City Royals aren’t any good. That’s OK, it’s because they never come close to figuring out those boys in blue.
