Omaha held on for the 5-3 victory in Nashville, The Storm Chasers will look for the four-game sweep on Sunday.

The Storm Chasers scored four runs in the top of the eighth to take the lead. Matt Fields (who did not start) drove in the first run of the inning with a single (one of his two hits). After Paulo Orlando‘s bunt single loaded the bases, Cheslor Cuthbert doubled in two runs to break the tie.

Orlando had two hits and a stolen base.

Chris Dwyer earned the win in relief of Clayton Mortensen (5.1IP, 5H, 2R, 4BB, 4K). Dwyer allowed an unearned run on three hits and a walk over 3.1 innings. Scott Alexander earned his third save by recording the final out of the game.

*In roster news, Aaron Brooks was called up to the KC Royals. Yohan Pino was optioned back to Omaha.

NW Arkansas lost their third straight in Springfield, losing on Saturday, 11-8.

The Naturals hit back-to-back home runs twice in the game.

did it in the 2nd inning.

Jorge Bonifacio

and Fuenmayor did it in the 5th inning. Fuenmayor now leads the Texas League in homers with 14.

Alex Liddi, Fuemayor, and Bubba Starling had two hits in the loss. Starling hit his seventh double in Double-A. Bonifacio and Parker Morin each had three hits. Morin hit two doubles and drove in a run.

J.C. Sulbaran took the loss, as he allowed ten runs on eight hits and three walks over 4+ innings. He allowed three home runs. Sam Selman allowed one inherited runner to score over two hitless innings of relief. Aroni Nina allowed a run on three hits and two walks over two innings.

Wilmington and Frederick only completed four innings when the rain came (the Blue Rocks were leading 1-0). The two teams will make up the suspended game on Sunday and then play a seven inning game after. Sunday is the final day of the first half.

Lexington beat Rome, 7-3. The Legends scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth.

The Legends collected 12 hits. Humberto Arteaga went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and two RBIs. He also stole his 15th stolen base of the season. Alfredo Escalera-Maldonado went 2-for-5 with a double. He also threw a runner out at the plate. Wander Franco hit a solo home run in the fourth. Mike Hill went 2-for-3.

Corey Ray took the blown save and then was credited with the victory. He allowed one run on four hits over two innings. Pedro Fernandez pitched the first three innings and was perfect. He struck out six.
