Peoria beat Scottsdale for the second straight day, this time with a 5-2 score. The Javelinas have now won three in a row and are tied for first place in the West Division (10-12-2).

While Monday was filled with KC Royals pitchers, Tuesday was completely different (no Royals pitched).

Centerfielder Bubba Starling was in the lineup for the second straight day, though he batted seventh this afternoon. He went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. Starling drove in a run with two outs in the first on a single to right field. The Javelinas scored three runs in the first and never looked back.

Raul Mondesi was back in the lineup at shortstop, while batting ninth. The youngster is starting to heat up in the AFL (up to .224), as he went 2-for-4 with a run scored. He also stole his fourth base, though he was caught stealing in the ninth (the second time in the AFL).

Peoria will play Surprise on Wednesday afternoon.
