Peoria won for the second straight day, as they beat Glendale, 5-4. The Javelinas trailed 2-1 heading into the top of the ninth and scored four runs. The Desert Dogs came back with two runs in the bottom of the ninth, but a double play ended the game.

Hunter Dozier started at third base and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. He struck out once. Dozier scored a run in the top of the ninth (he came around to score on a triple).

Raul Mondesi was the DH and batted eighth. He went 0-for-4 and was picked off.

Lefty Sam Selman was the first Peoria reliever to be used. He pitched the fifth and struck out one. Selman continues to impress so far in the AFL (1.93 ERA).

Daniel Stumpf pitched the sixth and allowed a run on one hit while striking out two. He allowed a one out, solo home run to Corey Seager (LA Dodgers).

*The Javelinas play their first home game of the week on Thursday when they host the Desert Dogs.
