The losing continued for Peoria, as they lost to Salt River, 5-0. The Javelinas collected just two hits in the loss.

The KC Royals had three position players in the Peoria lineup, but none of them collected a hit. Hunter Dozier batted fourth and went 0-for-3. Bubba Starling batted seventh and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout. Starling was back in centerfield. Raul Mondesi batted eighth and also went 0-for-3 with a strikeout.

Daniel Stumpf replaced Kyle Zimmer on the Javelinas roster and made his Arizona Fall League debut on Tuesday night. In one inning of work, he allowed an unearned run. Stumpf walked one and struck out two. He walked the leadoff hitter, who stole second base and was awarded third base on Mondesi’s interference. A sac fly drove in the run. Stumpf then struck out the final two hitters of the seventh.

*Peoria will be on the road on Wednesday afternoon at Glendale. Miguel Almonte will be making his first AFL start.
