Triple Play Podcast: Royals Playoff Edition

facebooktwitterreddit

On this week’s Triple Play Podcast, Reese, Matt, and I mostly skipped over the rest of the MLB playoffs, because the Royals are just so much fun to talk about that we decided to focus solely on them today.

We discussed last week’s Wild Card game, and how crazy everything about that was.

More from KC Royals News

On the ALDS, we talk about how the stars of Dayton Moore’s farm system have delivered early on, as Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas have both hit game-winning home runs. Hosmer has been on an absolute tear for a while, which certainly helps the Royals offense immensely. Moose appears to have altered his approach some, even bunting to beat the shift in Friday’s game 2.

We also break down the excellent starts from Jason Vargas and Yordano Ventura, and how a win tonight could help the Royals set their ALCS rotation exactly how they want it, with everyone having plenty of rest.
