Omaha beat Memphis, 5-0.

The Storm Chasers won behind the solid start by John Lamb, who allowed just one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings. The lone hit was a single that came in the second. The two walks were issued in the first and second innings. From there, Lamb retired 18 in a row (started by a double play in the second).

Casey Coleman followed with two hitless innings, with the lone base runner coming via a fielding error by first baseman Matt Fields.

On offense, the Storm Chasers collected 11 hits. Whit Merrifield had three hits. Paulo Orlando, Justin Maxwell, and Pedro Ciriaco each had two hits in the win.

NW Arkansas had their series finale at Arkansas rained out. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on August 24th. The Naturals are currently en route to Tulsa for their weekend series, but their bus broke down (though the new bus has arrived).

Wilmington beat Lynchburg, 4-2. The Blue Rocks are now tied with the Hillcats, just a 1/2 game back of Potomac, who has now lost three in a row.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the 2nd inning, Jack Lopez cleared the bases with a double to give the Blue Rocks the lead they would not relinquish. Bubba Starling would add a solo home run with two outs in the seventh.

Blue Rocks starter Jonathan Dziedzic lasted just three innings, as he walked five. Luis Santos earned the win with five solid innings of relief. He allowed one run (a solo homer) and only allowed two hits. Kyle Bartsch picked up his second save with a perfect ninth.

Every Blue Rocks starter had at least one hit, with Cody Stubbs and Terrance Gore collecting two hits in the win.

Lexington had Wednesday off as they begin a four-game series at West Virginia on Thursday night.
