On this week’s episode of the Triple Play Podcast, Reese, Matt, and I talk about the debut of Gregory Polanco, as well as how deep the talent is in the National League outfield, particularly in center field. Guys like Andrew McCutchen and Carlos Gomez are having spectacular seasons, and there are several other great players at that position.

More from KC Royals News

From there, we talk about the Tigers’ recent slump, and how we feel about them moving forward. With the struggles of their rotation and bullpen, the AL Central is clearly up for grabs. That discussion, of course, led us to break down the Royals and their winning streak. So many Royals players have been hitting well lately – even Mike Moustakas – and the rotation has performed extremely well, from top to bottom.

Finally, we wrap things up by discussing a few prospects whose performances should merit promotions in the near future. Hunter Dozier already has been bumped up to Double-A, but Orlando Calixte and Christian Binford could make cases for being moved up at some point soon, as well.
