Triple Play Podcast: Contract Extensions, Royals’ 1st Week, John Lamb

On this week’s episode, Reese, Matt, and I start off the show by talking about some of the contract extensions handed out around the league recently, including those given to Jason Kipnis and Yunel Escobar. From there, we shifted to the qualifying offer free agents still on the market and tried to figure out what will happen with Kendrys Morales and Stephen Drew.

Of course we had to talk about the biggest Royals-related story of the first week of the season, Brett Tomko winning a Triple-A game on his 41st birthday. I’m kidding. We discussed Mike Moustakas and his early struggles. Finally, my interview with John Lamb is included, which spawned quite a bit of talk about his past, as well as his future.
