Triple Play Podcast: Instant Replay, Tanaka, & Royals ZiPS Projections

facebooktwitterreddit

In this week’s episode, with Matt taking a quick trip to the DL, Reese and I discussed the new instant replay system, as well as the possible new rules outlawing collisions at home. We then moved on to the Masahiro Tanaka signing, and how that has already impacted the free agent pitching market, including the possibility of Ervin Santana coming back to the Royals on a cheaper contract. As I wrote about last week, ZiPS projections for the Royals were released, so we took some time to talk about those and what they could mean for 2014. We wrapped up this episode by continuing our AL Central previews, this time covering the Minnesota Twins – from their mediocre pitching acquisitions, to their terrifyingly stacked farm system, and back to their underwhelming rotation.
