A Must-See Royals Video to Pump You Up For the Weekend

Yesterday, Chris DeRuyscher of the Royals Event Presentation and Production department (whose Twitter can be fount at @CLDHeavy) posted this video to Facebook (and h/t to Minda Haas – @minda33 – for helping me find it):

Personally, I love compilation videos like this, and entering a ten game stretch where the Royals need to get a win every night, a little inspiration can’t hurt to get the right fan mindset heading into the weekend.

The video features some highlights from years other than 2013 – they’ve included clips from Salvador Perez‘s MLB Debut against the Rays and some of the Aaron Crow footage looks older based on his beard – but it finishes off with Alcides Escobar‘s escape act on the double steal from Wednesday’s game.

I’ve been thinking all summer about what would be the “Royals make improbable comeback movie montage” background song (a la Major League II‘s use of “Rude Mood” or “Runaround Sue” making it into Little Big League). For this video, they use Vox Populi by 30 Seconds to Mars, which is pretty good.
