Omaha lost to Albuquerque, 6-4 after allowing two runs in the top of the 8th inning.

Adam Moore‘s three-run homerun in the fifth tied the game at 4-4. The Storm Chasers collected 11 hits, but went just 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Johnny Giavotella and Paulo Orlando each collected two hits. Irving Falu went 3-for-5 in the loss.

Danny Duffy got the start and allowed four runs on five hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five. 51 of his 76 pitches were thrown for strikes. In other rehab news, outfielder Jarrod Dyson pinch-ran in the ninth inning.

With the game tied at 2-2, Whit Merrifield hit a two out, two-run homerun to give NW Arkansas the lead. They held on for the 4-3 victory.

Juan Graterol went 4-for-4 with two runs scored from the nine-hole. The Naturals 2-3 hitters (Orlando Calixte and Brian Fletcher) went a combined 5-for-10. Merrifield drove in three of the four runs.

Brooks Pounders picked up his second win of the season. He allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out eight. Zach Jackson picked up his sixth save of the season, as he entered in the eighth with two runners on base (and stranded them).

Lexington started the second half with a home loss to Savannah by a 5-1 score.

The Legends lineup was changed quite a bit, with Bubba Starling dropping to the five-hole. He went 1-for-4 with a double, but also struck out three times.

Miguel Almonte got the start and took the loss, but got into and out of jams until the fifth. Over the first four innings, he walked four, hit a batter, balked, and allowed two hits. Almonte was chased in the 5th inning after an RBI single. In that inning, he struck out the first batter he faced, but a wild pitch allowed the batter to reach (and then score).
