Lexington Legends catcher Cam Gallagher is returning from the DL and is said to be ready to play as soon as tomorrow.

In a follow-up move, Alex Marquez was sent down to an as-yet unannounced team in order to get more playing time. Both Gallagher and Jin-Ho Shin are ranked above Marquez on the depth chart, as well as having significant resources already committed to them.

Other transactions occurring today involved the promotion of RHP Daniel Hernandez to High-A Wilmington. Hernandez had recorded a stellar 0.98 ERA in 27 2/3 innings with six saves with the Legends, thus far.

One move that was likely a result of needing to open roster spots for the newly-drafted prospects this year: 3B Adrian Morales was released. We wish him the best in his future. I would have liked to have seen more of him.

More roster moves are said to likely be coming in the next few days.
