Word I'm getting on Myers' K's is that he's having a little struggle with breaking stuff. Only fix for that is experience and Omaha is probably the best place for now. Maybe after the break if there's a trade.

@michael.allen.engel @davidwlowe Thanks Mike, I'll check out your column. I can sense in Troy Olsen's frustration with the rest of the guys not talking about the Royals. It seems about 80% of the dialogue is full of interruption, two or three guys talking at the same time, and non-Royals related banter. I wish there was a podcast that only focused on the Royals (like Rany's, but he doesn't do it often enough).

@davidwlowe I agree, David, those are good numbers to consider and it's a nice analysis of how they impact Myers.

As for Super Two, there's never an exact date because teams don't know until 2 years+ down the line what everyone's service time will add up to. I wrote this last weekend that digs into all if those things and explains those rules/considerations. http://kingsofkauffman.com/2012/06/09/the-royals-super-two-wil-myers-and-jake-odorizzi/

Also thanks for the feedback on the podcast. It gets a bit zany, but I think you'll find Jeff and I to be the more serious and analytical pairing while Chris is the lighter side. Always trying to find the right balance.

This was an AWESOME column. This is the type of analysis I'd like to hear on the Royalman Report, instead of sophomoric jokes (Fister/Pounder, etc.) and constant sarcasm.

I think the decision is more strategic and less about his numbers. At some point in a couple of years salary will be a consideration for this team. If they can avoid an extra year of multi-million dollar salary that would come from Super 2 status then I'm good with keeping him in Omaha until after the break.

The other consideration is opportunity. The Royals won't be inclined to sit Francoeur, and I believe Cain is set to begin his rehab assignment (if he hasn't already) which places him on a firm timetable to return. It would be criminal to bring Wil up to ride the pine. He needs to play every day, and he needs a position from which to do it.

I suspect if he keeps up the performance we are seeing in AAA we will see the team try to move Francoeur before the deadline for an arm. Not sure what they can get in return but this seems to be the most likely scenario.
