A five-run top of the first inning propelled Omaha over Iowa, 9-4. Salvador Perez again caught all nine innings. Perez and Tony Abreu (4-5 in the order) combined to go 5-for-9 with six RBIs.

Jake Odorizzi started and allowed two runs on four hits over 5.1 innings. He struck out seven in approving to 4-0 with the Storm Chasers. Problem was, he needed 95 pitches to get that far.

NW Arkansas was pounded by Tulsa, 10-2. A seven-run 6th inning did in the Naturals. Ryan Dennick allowed all seven runs in that inning and only recorded two outs. Every Naturals starter had one hit except Carlo Testa.

Wilmington and Salem were rained out on Tuesday night. They will play a doubleheader on Wednesday night beginning at 5:05pm ET.

Kane County held off a late rally by Quad Cities, as they won 7-5. The River Bandits brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the 9th inning but Malcom Culver finally finished them off to pick up his second save.

Kellen Moen picked up the victory, as he allowed just one run on three hits over six innings. The offense collected 12 hits, as both Jorge Bonifacio (2-for-4) and Lane Adams (2-for-4) hit homeruns. Murray Watts went 3-for-4 in the win.
