Is there a better or worse way to lose? Losing by one or two has hurt as much as getting clobbered. This has gotta end fast!

I still say the lose of the Catchers has hurt more than anything. They will turn it around. I did have asperations of the playoffs but that is because I’m a fanatic. The goal should be to gell as a team and improve on the pitching and performace of our young players. This time next year it will be a whole new feeling. On the bright side tickets and gear should remain cheep another year:(

@OverreactionGuy There’s a lot going on here. The team generated a lot of excitement late last year with Hosmer and company up and playing well. They looked good in spring training and a lot of national media picked up and called the Royals a sleeper to watch.

The Royals can still hit .500 by going 78-68. That’s not THAT far out of the question yet, but they’ll have to learn to stave off these long losing streaks.

Eric Hosmer’s average is low, but he smoked about six balls this weekend alone that could have gone for hits if not for ideal positioning of the other team, especially on the triple play on Friday). Gordon’s hit the ball hard too, though he’s striking out too much right now. The bullpen, which we figured would be a big advantage, hasn’t been healthy or consistent.

I think the group is much more talented than the George/Harvey/Berroa group and it’s not even close. It sucks to keep having to say it, but it takes time.

I can’t say that the 78 win prediction I had before the season feels very comfortable though.

Huge fan asking a serious question. Were we sold a bill of goods here? Obviously .500 is out of question with this start, however are we on course for a total 110 loss collapse? Did everyone completely misread this organization? I just feel like I’ve seen this movie before and it stars Chris George, Ken Harvey and Angel Berroa.

It is hard to keep the faith. Every time we get a good pitching performance (I mean they score less than 5 runs in the game) we manage to score just one run less than them.
