I remember when he replaced the fired Gib Twyman in KC. Then he left for SI, wrote a couple boring books that sold about 50 copies total and in the midst of writing another, shaat down his leg in the middle of the Joe Pa scandle. Instead of stepping up to the plate like a seasoned journalist, he regressed into a paranoid laughing stock, becoming so fearful of criticism, he had to disable the commentary on his own blog.
