Yeah, now that I think about it hitting Moustakas behind Frenchy has its advantages too. It's better protection for Hosmer and Moustakas maybe. Other teams will be hesitant to bring in a lefty to face Hosmer for only one out, knowing that lefty will have to face Butler and Frenchy before getting to Moustakas OR that they will have to burn another pitcher to face the two righties before burning another pitcher to face Moose. This stretch of the lineup could really hurt a bullpen. And if a manager gambles and allows a RHP to face a LHH or vice versa, the Royals could hurt them. Still, I'd have Moustakas hitting in front of Frenchy most days.

@mmeade17 One advantage to Moose hitting ahead of Frenchy is that he'll get a few more walks from righties if he stays dangerous. I won't be surprised to see Moose and Frenchy flip places against lefties, hard to pitch around Billy and Frenchy to try to exploit Moose's problems with lefties, should they continue. I expect a potent line-up this year and think we could have as many as five guys with 20 HRs and five with 20 steals and five with 40 DBLs.

@jim fetterolf 20-22 seems to be where most people are. I just can't help but think that if he has things figured out, he should hit more home runs than anyone on the team. I agree with your assessment that part of his pop-up problem was related to chasing high pitches, and I think you're right on the money about him hitting 5th. To me, it makes very little sense to bat Francoeur ahead of him like some predict. If Francoeur's behind him and Butler's in front of him, that should help him face more right handed pitchers and hopefully put pitchers in a position to throw him fastballs (not that Francoeur is a ton of protection, but he's some. I think we've got this line up figured out. You wanna give Ned Yost a call or should I?

Moose popped the ball up because he was chasing high pitches, a problem he worked on and started overcoming in his final six weeks. He has a monster work ethic, great attitude, and will be fine, but I wouldn't predict 28 HRs this year, more like 20-22, but I'm good with your triple slash. I expect him to hit 5th, after Billy and ahead of Frenchy, so he'll walk some and get a bunch of RBIs with Hoz and Billy on base.
