@Kevin Scobee

Kevin, as the President of a Mfg. Company, I understand business, & the need to be profitable. But please don't misunderstand my post. I never even mentioned Glass at all. I was only saying if I owned a MLB team, this would be my mentality.

@1Yankh8tr baseball is a business and the point of the business is to, in the end, make a profit. You shouldn't begrudge Glass for running things the way he chooses to run things simply because you would benefit from the championships.

We can all disagree on how best is to run that business, I suppose, but Glass is entitled to run his business however he sees fit. Even though it does in turn affect us.

I understand your point, though.

If I’m the owner of an MLB team, I wouldn’t care if I had to spend a pile of cash that was hub deep to a Farris Wheel.

Let’s say that you are flush with more money than you could ever possibly need in 25 life times, and you use some of your money to buy a team like the Royals, then it only makes sense that you would spend, spend, spend, to win, win, win!

Then take your pennants and shove them in the faces of all your buddies that also have way too much money.

Alex Gordon…give him the money and get him locked up.

I would rather die broke with several championships, than have 25 life times of money in the bank.

But that’s me, and I don't own a team, now do I?

If I had to guess, I'd say 4 years, 36.5 million with an option for a 5th year at 12.5 mil.

I would give Gordon 6 years at $15/yr right now. [possibly biased comment]
