Later he got some productivity as a loogy, but that was well after he had been rendered useless as a pitcher. I remember he had a big 12-6 curve ball that was effective, but he stopped throwing it. Jimmy Gobble. Left-handed reliever. To face Paul Konerko. Right-handed Royal killer.

 

I think he threw him one pitch. You can imagine where it ended up. Here&#039;s a hint, the left field seats.
