@royal_in_cincinnati I don't know how I missed the Mendoza/Pucetas switch but I think it was the same transaction.

If we could get either of those Dodgers I'd be ecstatic. I like Shields too...in fact (spoiler alert) more on that either later tonight or tomorrow....

Mendoza is on the 40 man. Pucetus is not. SOS and Mazzaro will get a start each, and maybe Mendoza will get one too. Paulino and Chen might as well be shutdown as well, they are over their innings from last year as well.

That is pretty exciting that Monty was able to finish the series off. He will get on the long toss program again this offseason, and be ready to take a rotation spot in spring. Duffy, Monty, Hoch, and Paulino will man 4 of the spots. And if they get a Shields/Neimann from Tampa or Billingsly/Kershaw from LA, the rotation will be set. Then they will have SOS, Mazzaro, Mendoza ready for a injury.

@jim fetterolf I'd figure they'll have Mendoza go out there for that one game, which means they won't need Mazzaro or O'Sullivan - which is good since the Royals need to find a starter for three dates now that Hochevar and Francis have been shut down.

I guess we'll get a week out of Cain/Clint. Mendoza is probably gonna get a start too, though he'll have to be added to the 40 man I believe...Kevin Pucetas is probably packing his bags already. Monty is probably done at this point.

Call-ups will depend on the 40-man rosters, so I expect O'Sullivan and Mazzaro to be up soonest, then Cain after the championship. I don't expect Monty, more likely last night was it for the year based on innings. Mendoza deserves a look if he's on the roster and I'ld like for Clint to at least get a cupajoe in the bigs. The man has played on three consecutive champions and is a local boy, as I remember, so deserves a shot in front of family and friends.
