@royal_in_cincinnati I definitely agree on the rotation. No reason to push them hard when they've pitched so much this year. I don't particularly like Mendoza, SOS, or Mazzaro, but at least one of them will get a shot anyway.

With Mitch Maier likely seeing his career as a Royal come to an end, Cain should be in Kansas City in 2012 barring some catastrophic injury or such. And he should be for the end of the season, too. We'll see on Lough, but I'd love to see the guy log some time with the big league team.

I would definitely like to see Cain and Lough up and in the outfield somewhere. I doubt either of them get a real shot to start in 2012, but one of them should be the 4th outfielder. I would see no problem with shutting down the entire rotation. Hochevar has pitched more innings this year than he ever has by quite a few. Chen is also getting pretty close to the number of innings he threw last year. Paulino is also over his most innings. Duffy and Francis are already shutdown.

Rotation of Mendoza, Teaford, SOS, Mazzaro, and Adcock to finish the year.
