[...] It’s akin to the scene in Major League where Pedro Cerrano issues an ultimatum to his Voodoo god Jobu. To quote the USA Network version of the line “if you no help me now, I say [forget] you Jobu. I do it myself.” That’s what Kila’s doing here. (It’s pretty appropriate, too, considering the odd similarities between Kila and Cerrano.)
Hopefully, tonight was the start of that! He looked a little better, but Fister's not exactly a great test. Fister is, however, a good pitcher to face for Kila's return. We'll see what happens this weekend.

Kila may be due for the Aviles 'mini-vacation', just to get his head back on straight. Use Betemit at first, Aviles at third, maybe bring Kila in late inning against a rightie and for defense, just take a little pressure off of him for a few days and give him a chance to spend a few hours a day in the cage with Seitzer.

This has nothing to do with Kila, but one of my favorite baseball movies is "Rookie of the Year." Gary Busey at his finest.
