I didn't consider either of those teams since the A's have Daric Barton now, one of the most underrated players in baseball - if he ever gets some 20-25 homer power, he'll be an unknown star. They also have Chris Carter there who's likely in the outfield, but has been at first before.

The Padres have Anthony Rizzo as a possible September callup who's younger, better and at the same stage (entering Triple A) as Robinson.

Now if either team wanted depth and had something to give up, what the heck, I'm okay with that. I don't know that they'd prefer C-Rob over their current options, though.

I think the San Diego Padres and Oakland A's are good fits for teams needing a First Baseman. Love to see the Royals hook up with either in a deal.
