I'd say that's a good bet, especially in light of Ned Yost's recent comments. The shift by Wil Myers to the outfield makes it even more likely, as Perez won't have to fend him off for playing time. Worst case, he struggles as a 21 year old in the toughest jump in the minors and takes a step back. In 2009, he had the same kind of hiccup at a higher level and got things straightened out at a lower level ...then came back and had his solid 2010 year.

Like the writeup! Salvador Perez is one of my favorite prospects to watch. Seeing as you mentioned Perez was a A+ Carolina League All Star with almost 400 PA's at that level wouldn't you think it likely that he starts the year in AA, rather than a mid season promotion?
