Contributors Wanted

My goal this offseason is to cover all the bases.  There are winter meetings, winter leagues, hot stove chatter, roster changes, spring training battles to preview, and tons of other information to process and pontificate on.  That being the case, I’m looking for a crew of contributors to join Kings of Kauffman.

One of my favorite things about working on this blog is being able to share my opinions on my favorite team with a wide audience of readers.  Additionally, I like to get discussion going in our comments section or on Twitter.  I know my opinion isn’t the only one out there, and that’s one of the best things about the Royals online community.  We have the best fans (deal with it Cardinals!) who have stuck by this organization for years, waiting for the ship to turn around.

If you’re interested in becoming a contributor on Kings of Kauffman (proud member of the Fansided network), here’s what to do:

  • Write a 500-1500 word article about the Royals.  This can be about any topic you choose but it should represent your best work and be fully edited.  Writing is one part ideas and one part presentation, and both carry a lot of weight.
  • Email your article (in pdf format or at least cut and pasted into the body of an email) to myself at michael.allen.engel@gmail.com.  Please put “Kings of Kauffman Contributor Article” in the subject line.  I’ll review the sample articles before passing the best on to the Fansided MLB Leadership Council.
  • This should be obvious, but there shouldn’t be any profanity.  A “hell”, a “damn” – no problem. If they can say it on the radio, you can say it here. Strong opinions are necessary, but please be classy with them.

As a contributor on Kings of Kauffman, you’d be expected to post one (1) article a week, but would have the option open to post more if you chose to do so.  Focus on prospects, stats, news updates – whatever you like.

You can stay current on all the Kings of Kauffman content and news by following us on Twitter, Facebook, or by way of our RSS feed
