World Series Trivia

So like many of you, I’m watching the World Series and trying to figure out how on earth this is the same Rangers team that steamrolled the Yankees, but I digress…  As Buster Posey sits behind the dish as the everyday catcher for the Giants, has there ever been a rookie catcher to play on the World Series winner as their primary receiver?

    hmm…ummm…..The last one imo was Andy Etchebarren with the 1966 Orioles. Before that, uhh…meep….was Joe Garagiola with the 1946 Cardinals. Beep Borp. Those are the only times it has happened.
