Alright I can concede his best transaction overall was Soria.

Burgos for Bannister is a close second, as at the time, Burgos was the live arm, no control type that the Mets though they could fix, and now, after all of Burgos's drama, it's a clear win and definitely a strong acquisition.

I still go with Buckner for Callaspo. A young hitter who could hit .300 every year he's in the league with increasing power for a maybe 4th starter who hasn't stayed in the big leagues for a full season yet -- I'm giving that the nod over a league average starter for a high risk arm (don't get me wrong though, Bannister's among my favorite players in the game)

I think his best trade was Ambiorix Burgos for Brian Bannister, because as inconsistent as Bannister has been, getting ANYTHING for Burgos is an incredible achievement, and Banny has certainly been more than merely a warm body.

His best MOVE was grabbing Joakim Soria in the Rule 5 draft.

Agreed. His best trade by far. Hopefully Callaspo can keep up his current pace...because the Royals definitely need him to

If after four years on the job, the Callaspo trade ranks as Moore's best, I can think of no better example of damning with faint praise.
