Yep, I'm getting to the state of just wanting to see what we have down the pipe. We're stuck with Betancourt, I'm afraid. At least through 2010. Thankfully the rumored Butler for Betancourt deal never came to pass.

Definitely Mike. What's troubling is Dayton Moore's lack of foresight (and for that matter, hindsight) into Betancourt's career. He was certainly nothing special in Seattle, with the exception of a few fancy defensive plays and never did anything offensively that turned heads. Even more bothersome was the fact that Moore traded for this clown and while he still has TWO years left on his contract!

Please, just let Mike Aviles and Kila Ka'aihue play everyday so we can see what we have in them instead of letting them whither away on the bench.

Royals fans have been clamoring to trade away Jose Guillen since 2009. The player we really need to try to dump is Betancourt.

I understand the need for the Royals to obtain a SS in 2009, not knowing if Mike Aviles would be able to come back from Tommy John surgery, however, Dayton Moore filled the position with one of the worst every day SS in the game.

Removing Betancourt from this roster should much more of a priority than removing Jose Guillen.
