(I mean that sincerely and not sarcastically) Baseball-Reference, which was my source on his HS, has him listed playing in Virgina. However after double checking some other sources, including his player profile on Vanderbilt's website, he clearly played in Connecticut. In addition to fixing my mistake in the above, I have sent an email to Baseball-Reference so they can correct their listed information as well. Joe B –

Picollo and Mike Moustakas on 810 WHB earlier this week. They both confirmed that the idea was floated and briefly discussed a while back. I wasn't aware of this, but Picollo mentioned that Moose had played some catcher before he was drafted. For anyone interested, the J.J. Click on "Play Now" of any of the three links to get to the next screen where you can locate the 30 minute interview with Picollo. He was very forthright with his answers.
